cross-compile

Hi !
I m a post-graduate student from india.
we are trying to develop a VOIP phone. & i m trying
to cross-compile the application(H.323).
Basically my task is -
-to cross -compile the c/c++ code for ARM7TDMI.
-the port the cross-complied code on
developement board which has uCLinux support
-& make the code run.

I got very confused & don't know anything what to do.
I will be very thankful to you if u will give me a
proper guidence. I want to know how can i start this
stuff & what the things i can download.
