Hello all,
This question is pretty LinuxCE specific but hopefully someone on one of
these lists will be able to help me out.
I've been trying get X to work on my Compaq Aero 15xx for a while now with
no luck. I have built a kernel and am booting up no problem with hdc2 (CF
Card) as my root. I have tried using Brads Clio root and it all seems to
work fine except X. I have the proper tpanel and vrtpanel entries in /dev.
The stylus is getting callibrated correctly and the info is sent to
/etc/pointercal.
When X tries to start it first says it's switching to VT 2 then it dies with
an error 131, no screens found. I have used 3 different XVr binaries and
have gotten the same thing with all of them. I tried to find out what error
131 was but haven't been able to. Anyonw knwo what it means?
Are there any options which MUST be turned on or off in the kernel in order
to get X working? Possibly network specific stuff or certian features with
the framebuffer?
I have changed the /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc. I have tried replacing the
"-screen 640" with "-screen 320" as well as removing the
"-screen XXX" completly. I have tried startx -bpp 4 and well as tried
skipping the startup stuff and just running the X server "XVr" alone to see
if I could make it work. None of these things have worked. I get the error
131 no screens found without fail every time.
Any and all help is appreciated and keep up the great work.
Hunter
