Cross / native-compile

Instead of an XScale machine (do these exist as part of a working
system?) for native compiling, why not a Netwinder? Network built in, has
a large HDD, runs Linux, etc.

As I recall someone was investigating using a DNARD...

As for other solutions, I don't have a PCMCIA sleeve, otherwise I have
some hardware that I've made that could solve the lack of
diskspace for native iPaq compiles. I'll test it on my Brutus and if it
works, and someone can donate a PCMCIA sleeve, I could try it on an iPaq.

Thanks,
Vasant.
