I used to check Palmax on a regular basis after PMN news of a
distribution deal with McGlen, that was back in July. I can't recall
the model but at least one Palmax model had Linux put on it. However
I never saw said computer appear on McGlen or one of it's other
sites. Last time I checked McGlen kept stating they'd get around to a
site for non US distribution. But yes the PD-600C is better than
Yopy. Does anyone know of where Palmax is actually selling models and
is a 12-2000 release less vapour-ish than I'm getting used to.

On the subject of why not iPAQ because 12 bpp isn't good enough, it's
a 3D engine ( a weird 3D effect really suitable for a non FP able CPU
) that I'm coding and iPAQ's 12 bpp has no future. It's also worth
noting iPAQ are putting most models into US. Official launch for UK
is now way back to Mid November. Import US models are $800 currently,
fine for a suitable machine not good for a stop gap.

Yes every step in an open source community is exponential in it's
total benefit. That's why we will win. :-)
