To my mind, having modifier keys is A Good Thing(tm). However, I don't
know if using PDA buttons for modifier keys is the best way to use
them. I'd rather have them handle other things like power, contrast,
backlight, dedicated program launch, etc. has anyone explored the
possibility of adding a few widgets to xscribble, say on the line where
the last decoded character is displayed? There's a fair bit of room
there... some Shift, Alt and Ctrl and maybe even Meta modifiers might
fit in there. You tap them, then draw your character...
Just my $0.02 worth.
