I use sox on my ipaq, works great. It's a tad confusing, you might want
to toss together a script or a front end for it because it's a command
line program, but it does everything (recording, playback, stdin/stdout or
any format under the sun). I use a twiddler with my ipaq so the whole
typing thing isn't a problem, just make sure you read the documentation.
You can get it just about anywhere, I'm using a decompressed/stripped
debian binary of it on my ipaq right now. Hope this helps.
