I just updated the build page on handhelds.org to reflect recent changes
in the build configuration files for TinyX Xfbdev.
See:
http://www.handhelds.org/minihowto/building-x.html
You must have at least XFree86 4.0.2 (not 4.0.1), and/or better yet,
a copy of current CVS to build it.
Various configuration stuff has been cleaned up in XFree86 4.0.2,
in particular setting up for cross compilation.
The only iPAQ dependency left is the include file for the touchscreen
system intrface; we'll get that cleaned up sometime as well. You will
note that in fact, there is no longer any iPAQ H3xxx dependency in
the host.def file itself, and in the code, everything except the touch
screen driver is generic.
If you use cross development tools for different platforms or ones other
than what we use here, you will have to update cross.def appropriately;
cross.def and cross.rules now isolate the cross compilation configuration
properly, rather than having it in an iPAQ dependent configuration file.
This should make it easier for other users on other platforms to build
(e.g. the IBM watch folks).
