The web site is currently inaccessable to everyone outside of Compaq.
We can open this up selectively, but in the case of Intel, the selection
would have to be for all of intel.com, rather than a specific machine
inside Intel. I suppose we could set up password authentication, which
would allow individual access given a password. I'm not comfortable
with opening it up to Intel as a whole; I don't know on the top of my
head how hard it is to set up password protection, but I doubt if this
is very hard... My Apache book is in at CRL: maybe Ed can look into this,
or I'll look into this in the morning.

Ed,
Does this mean that outside people that try the address will get access to
the web page?
Regardless, Intel needs to see the web page and is working on providing both
engineering contacts and URLs to their SA linux activities. Can we arrange
for them to be able to see the site before announcement day?
Thanks,
Ken

I am in the process of moving the server from inside the firewall to
outside.
The first step, which is in progress now and should complete within 20
minutes
is the DNS change. Once the DNS settles, the names
handhelds.org
www.handhelds.org
cvs.handlehds.org
and ftp.handhelds.org
will resolve to the outside address. A new name
inside.handhelds.org
will resolve to the inside address (the one currently in use). Use it until
I
actually re-cable the machine, later this afternoon. The
ohh-linux.pa.dec.com
name will continue to point to the inside address.
