For the more part the kernel available is fairly complete. If memory
serves it is missing a module(perhaps a Kernel Line Discipline) that
allows access to the modem while a Data call is active. I'm not sure
what would be available but I could guess incoming call detection,
receive text message, and voice mail alert would be worth while. It
would also be cool to send text message during a data call.
The kernel changes are only the first step, gnomucator would likely
need to start making use of the new devices. As I understand there is
currently a daemon that implements these features in userspace, but
since that may not be the best method it's not been used heavily.
I believe were currently using an AT command to disable the
multiplexing in hardware.
One other feature that sounds like a larger task is the new EABI.
At this time I'm only assuming that this can be used on this
TI-OMAP(h6300) CPU.
I'm interested in both of these as well as testing images with
basic software upgrades.
