Hello List,
hope everyone's fine here !
Yes, you're right - this is not a spam mail, it's indeed some kind of
bug report ;)
I downloaded the actual Familiar Release (0.8.4) GPE image for h6300.
it's pretty cool, and easy to install on the mmc/sd card with the howto
from http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/hpipaqh6300install
the Bootloader from
http://www.blendo.de/uploads/media/h6300_gpe_image_20061206.tar.bz2
(extract this file, and extract the h6300_linux_bootloader.tar.bz2 to
the vfat partition).
then, grab the familiar 0.8.4 gpe image for the h6300 from handhelds.org
(you should be able to do that without tutorial..)
now, extract that bootgpe-v0.8.4-h6300.tar and extract
bootgpe-v0.8.4-h6300/bootgpe-v0.8.4.tar.bz2 to the ext2 partition on the
mmc/sd card.
now ..
touchscreen is not working.. while booting, the device says that the
path to /lib/modules/2.6.16-omap1-h6300 and modules.dep can not be
found. somehow it expects the path like this, but the actual path to the
modules.dep should be /lib/modules/2.6.16.16-omap1-h6300 .
i created the expected directory, and put the files from the existing
modules directory to the 2.6.16-omap1-h6300 dir..
but that's not the solution, now it complains about wrong version magic
in modules..
can someone tell me the how why and huh? :)
greetings from switzerland to the (hopefully still active) list!
