wlan under familiar 0.7.2 / iPAQ 5450

Hi guys.

I've installed familiar 0.7.2 on my iPAQ 5450. I didnt have any problems.
I'm using wlan in infrastructure mode.

Now how can I get wlan working on my ipaq? I have no experience with wlan cards under linux.
ifconfig shows a correct installed wlan0 adapter.
iwconfig looks pretty good, but the mode is set to ad-hoc and not infrastructure. Is this a problem?

ping makes the orange LED flashing, but it doesnt work. I have 100 % packet loss.

So what to do?

By the way, does anybody have problems using the "power button"? My ipaq shuts down, but switching it on results in some strange coloured squares and I can only remove the battery for restarting.
