thanks again Erik,

I'm not helped by having hundreds of these:

[mmc_samsung.c:1143] mmc_s3c_split_status : ERROR READ COMMAND
0x00000011,0x00000001,0x00001004

from mt SD card - is that normal?

anyway, the firmware:

at76c503.c: firmware version 0.100.5 #39
at76c503.c: device's MAC 00:02:8a:fa:64:d9, regulatory domain MKK1
(Japan) (id 65)

interesting - I should go look at the HP site, I suppose, Are others
running more uptodate firmware?

Do we have a way to upgrade, from Linux?

apols for all the questions; one day I will be able to answer some :)

cheers,
c.
