Ah, well it's entirely possible that I subconsciously made it up... :)

A quick Google confirms that LCDs do not suffer from burn... thanks for
pointing this out, Ian.

What about the backlight though? Any issues re leaving that cranked up
for extended periods? Other than the battery of course.

I know about the "bl" cmd, just wondering it I need to worry about it?
