Would anyone know: should I expect the battery to be charged when my
5550 is suspended?
It was dead this morning, despite being plugged in whilst suspended for
several hours yesterday, which makes me suspect that it doesn't.
I also note that the charging light doesn't cycle when suspended: it
just remains in whatever state (off or on) it was when suspended.
On a related note, apm makes things harder to diagnose than they should
be, since whenever I plug it in, even with a half-depleted battery, the
output leaps immediately to:
-bash-2.05b# apm
AC on-line, battery charging: 100%
and so I can't gauge whether any charging has occurred when suspended.
Is the above behaviour all to be expected?
-bash-2.05b# uname -a
Linux familiar 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36 #498 Mon May 31 15:40:28 BST 2004
armv5tel unknown
-bash-2.05b# ipkg status kernel | grep ^Version
Version: 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36.11
thanks very much for any comments.
cheers,
calum
