h5400 power consumption

        Hi all, i'm owning a h5450 ipaq, where i have installed familiar
with opie 1.1.4 from jun 2004. I'm quite happy of being able to use open
source OS and SW in my ipaq, but quite unhappy of my battery duration.
Besides of trying Linux and experimenting with opie, i would like to use
it as i use to use my pocketpc os, not to get a "battery critical" every
day without almost using it. If i live it for a weekend, the battery is
empty, and the typical problems with that, ipaq buzzez without stop,
have to leave it resting, plug it again,...
        As good practices, i have start disabling the wlan, after each
use i do (usually plugged to electrical power) and setting the
background light almost to minimal.
        Any idea? What am i doing wrong? Is it some battery kernel
support fail or what?
