Can the fingerprint button be used?

Is it possible to use the fingerprint reader?
Or is the code windows only.
It'd be nice to be able to use it as a 10 way button, depending on what
finger is presented.

Or can the raw camera be accessed?
I could imagine a optical-mouse mode, using the finger as the 'pad'.
