The 2.6.x series of kernels is known to not be complete for the h5400
port. So using it for testing is only helpful if you are trying to
improve that series. Another poster on this list has reported that the
touchscreen driver will regularly produce a kernel oops even. So I
wouldn't use that kernel unless you are looking to do some hacking.

The 2.4.x series on the other hand ought to at least be stable on the
h5400 even if it has some warts. If you don't need 2.6 for any specific
reason and you just want to get a pcmcia wifi card working, I would
install the unstable image of your favorite palmtop environment (GPE or
OPIE) and then update the 2.4 kernel to something like hh36.9 (it has
working usbnet which is very handy). Then your sleeve should be
recognized by the kernel automatically and then if you use a pcmcia card
that is supported by 2.4, it should be recognized too.
