WinCE restoration again

Hi again,

I still have not been able to restore WinCE on my H5450.
(I need it for updating my Wlan firmware.)

I can write back the root partition and boot WinCE from the bootldr. The first
thing that I see then is WinCE's Wlan settings dialog. I don't know if that
is normal. However, WinCE seems to work fine, except that suspend/resume does
not work (it seems to do a soft reset on every resume). What's worse than
that is that I am not able to update to the latest WinCE version from HP. (I
need to do that in order to update the Wlan-firmware.)
So I guess that I need to have the WinCE bootloader installed. But writing
back the WinCE bootloader reliably bricks my iPaq. I have tried writing the
WinCE bootloader with the Linux bootldr and via JTAG, and in both cases the
iPaq would not boot afterwards. I compared my saved bootloader image with the
one I found at www.handhelds.org/feeds/wince/ and they are identical.

Any ideas?
Has anyone ever been able to restore WinCE on a H5450?
Or is there a way to update the Wlan firmware from Linux?

Regards,
Gert
