I'm afraid most of the ongoing work for h5xxx is done with the 2.4
kernel. So, that's good if you want to work on making Linux 2.6 work on
this device! There should be a lot of legacy from 2.4 you could rely on,
and it will be a very interesting experience.

Well, if the samcop driver is broken, it could be a great opportunity to
start with the shamcop drivers, which are meant to support both SAMCOP
(h5xxx) and HAMCOP (h2200). The shamcop code was derived from samcop
code, but it is just tested on hamcop so far...
