h5550 Battery Issues (Familiar 8.4)

Hi,
I'm a newbie to familiar and i'm having wierd battery issues. The driver
doesn't seem to be reading it correctly, the battery is shown as 0% but
fully charged. GPE seems to suspend randomly (and often) when it's not
plugged in, presumably because of the battery, opie runs ok but the power
manager shows it as empty (0%) when it's not plugged in but charging when it
is, and one time charging with external power disconnected. The GPE power
manager gives me a device read error when it's plugged in but show it as
fully charged (always it seems) when it is plugged in.

This is consistent with the /proc/hal/battery output. Strangely enough the
other entries in /proc/hal (except assets) return 'Error value -22'.

Any ideas, suggestions or similiar experiences? I would guess that this is a
calculation error in the battery module but i assume that would affect all
devices.
