[OT] Bricked Ipaq h5450

Hi,

apologies for this off-topic post, but I don't really know where else to
turn. I have an Ipaq that does not respond to a hard reset (stylus in
the hole while holding down the button) and none of the lights light up.

Seems like a flat battery, right? But when the battery is inserted and
the unit plugged into the cradle, the screen flashes momentarily, and
then the battery vibrates in a double pulsing pattern, which gradually
gets slower, then stops.

I have taken the battery out, left it out for several days, and the same
thing happens. I have also waited for the vibration pulses to stop, and
left the battery in while the unit is in the cradle for several days.

Can anyone shed any light on this phenomenon, or point me to a more
suitable forum to ask questions? (Again, sorry for using this list.)
