Linux on h5450 (USB cable)

I'm sorry for my English , I speak French ...

My Question is very simple:

I'm trying to install Linux on my old iPAQ h5450.
I think that I have installed successfully "BootBlaster3900", but when I am
trying to reboot (center joypad + reset button) the PDA just vibrate and
nothing change (I think that is normal, referring to familliar website).
I think that it's important to notice that i'have just a USB cable.
Can i install Linux without "Serie cable" ?
