I have the downloads of the source from the 0.8.3 RC2 source area on
handhelds.org. The download files are:
alsa-driver-0.9.6-hh4c
alsa-lib-1.0.8
alsa-oss-1.0.8
alsa-utils-1.0.8
alsa-oss and alsa-utils also have some 2.0.8 files but they detar as
1.0.8 directories.
If the intention is to fix them them I guess it needs the CVS versions
so the fixes can be put back. Where can I get an hh41 kernel from? Is it
simply the 2.4 checkout from CVS? I have source for hh37 and hh39
currently. The hh37 all compiles and works with Alsa - at least on 0.8.1.
The test program which demonstrates the spinning issues in the 2.4
kernels is simply the pcm/test routine which should play an "a" 440Hz
but fails to do so. It can be run in more than one mode so it can write
direct or use interrupt driven select/poll. If you want the exact file
names I can dig them out.
If you tell me what needs doing I am happy to help or act as tester.
