problems with jtag access to the 5400, help please

 Hi,
  
  I have tried to access the JTAG port on a 5450, but I cannot get it to work. I am using a byteblaster cable and soldered it to the 50 pin connector (that connects the small PCB containing buttons/fingerscanner to the main PCB). At this connector I took the leads as indicated under JATG at the 5400 page.
  
  Did anybody try to test this? I'm out of ideas, any hint would be more than welcome.
