Compiling & using mq as a modules doesn't help either, mq11xx-base is
completely silent now. I can modprobe it and it loads but does not print
messages to syslog or show up in /sys.
If you want to try it out yourself download the ipkgs from
http://dominion.kabel.utwente.nl/koen/pda/files/h5550/ipk/ (no, it's not
a feed) and install

* the kernel-image
* all samcop modules
* all w1 modules
* the wire module
* the cfb* modules
* the mq* modules
* the soc-device module

I tested it with a OE build from yesterday, but 0.8.1 should work too.
Backup important stuff before trying as your ipaq may burst in flames,
explode, etc...
