Hi all...Sorry for the late post, but i was really busy in these days.
I've worked some months ago on this issue and been able to activate the
phone jack from user space. The problem is activating it catching the
interrupt. I tried to hack the module to this end, but i still have
problems with keventd being killed when the interrupt handler is
called.

I posted some months ago a patch on this list you can peek...
