pflash parameters

I have a h5550. I am yet installing GPE.

I am closely following the instructions of

My question is related to the pflash instruction of
the bootloader, just before the beginning of chapter 5
Bootstrapping Familiar GNU/Linux.

Michel Stempin says that I should write

 pflash 0x40000 0xffff 0

but this instruction is appropriate for his iPAQ 3850.
Since an h5550 has up to 128MB of memory, is it not
better to pflash more memory?, say
 pflash 0x40000 0xfffff 0
 pflash 0x40000 0xffffff 0
 pflash 0x40000 0xfffffff 0
