Battery draining while suspended

If I suspend my ipaq for a night, the battery drains. Is anyone else
seeing this? My kernel is 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36.11. My current theory
is that the wlan radio isn't getting turned off during the suspend.
Does anyone know how to turn off the wlan before suspending? I know I
can unload the modules and reboot, but that's not practical in the long
term. Someone was working on a gpe app but a simple command line prog
would do.
