Ugh, sorry - 0.7.2 is barely usable on the h5550. You need to upgrade
the kernel, ipkg, opie (if you picked it). And that is just the most
important stuff.

I suggest reflashing with an unstable image from here:
http://handhelds.org/~pb/unstable

It turns out to be more usable on the h5550. I am currently using
unstable16, but unstable14 is known to work well too.
