5150 status, power troubles, external microphone

Thanks all for the hard work in getting Linux up and running on the iPaq
platforms!

I successfully got the latest unstable3 running on an HP5150.

Problem: If disconnected from power, system suspends after a few minutes
and never wakes up without reset. Also, when I left the iPaq
disconnected overnight, it appears that the battery discharged beyond
hope (been trying to charge now for 5 hours and won't come up even with
reset). Any thoughts?

Patch: I'm working on an application that requires an external
microphone (available on the 5400 series platform out of the 4-tip 3.5mm
jack). Unfortunately, the ak4535 driver was hard-wired to use the
built-in internal microphone. I have a patch that will enable the
SOUND_MIXER_WRITE_RECSRC ioctl with value SOUND_MASK_LINE turning on the
external microphone, SOUND_MASK_MIC returning to the internal built-in
microophone. Seems to work... Should I check this in on HEAD? (modules
h5400-audio.c,ak4535.[ch]).
