i have recently installed linux on an h5450 and it works pretty well.

use the following image, most of the (previous) others I have tried had
some issues regarding the touchscreen
http://handhelds.org/~pb/unstable/bootgpe2-0.7.2+unstable2-h3900.jffs2

as phil said - the bootldr procedure and how to get the images on the
ipaq is the same.
