Battery Life

Ok.. turns out my battery isn't dead.. I was just impatient in waiting for it to show a
charge. I have a couple questions regarding power management in Familiar on iPAQs.

1. What do the indicator lights mean in Familiar, or in the bootloader? Is a green
light mean it's charging? I'm used to the blinking orange light on my 5450 and I think
that's what throwing me off. Also, I'm seeing different lighting related to the WIFI as
well. Is this stuff described anywhere?

2. Does the darned thing ever shut off? The battery seems to continue to drain at
normal levels even when the iPAQ is suspended (by pressing the power button). I
validated this by checking the battery level settings icon, turning it off, and then
checking it again after it being "off" for three hours or so. It had dropped by 60%!!!
If not, what is the impact of extended (say, more than 15 minutes) removal of the main
battery? I know in the PocketPC OS, 10 minutes or so and it's the same as a hard
reset.. is it the same with Familiar? Will I lose everything other than the base image
if I pull the battery when its not in use?

I'm seeing the same issues related to returning from suspension and having the
touchscreen not working. A soft reset fixes that, but you lose any data in apps you may
have had open. The wifi is working very well for me, including 128bit WEP, non default
channels and SSIDs.

I just want to say a big thanks to all of you who have been working so hard on this.
Those of us with 5000 series iPAQs salute you.
