h5555: MMC and PCMCIA status?

I'm currently working with Familiar on the h5555. I have a few questions that I haven't been able to find answers to yet.

I haven't been able to get anything from SD or MMC cards inserted into the built-in SD/MMC slot. What is the status of the built-in slot? Is anyone currently working on getting this device working? I know the SD cards require a proprietary driver that does not exist, but MMC cards are well-supported under Linux, aren't they? The only holdup is getting the slot itself working.

It seems, from the comments on the handhelds.org site, that PCMCIA is working; however, I haven't been able to get any response from a few different cards while using the dual slot PCMCIA sleeve. Does the normal single slot sleeve work on the h5555, is there something specific about the dual slot sleeve that renders it useless? Or is there some setup step that I am missing?
