Console only version of Familiar

Something else:

First thing I'd like to say is thanks to all the people who've put such
effort into getting Linux ported to the 5450. It is very appreciated.
Through the support of this group, I've got unstable .93 up and running..
many thanks.

Ok. I know that the there are problems with the touch screen driver. I have
a snapntype keyboard for my 5450, and was wondering how hard it would be to
yank the X stuff out of Familiar and have just a text console version of
Linux that I can run that doesn't worry about the touchscreen issues
plaguing the current builds? One that boots up with a text only screen and
the popular external keyboard modules already loaded, possibly?

I'm not much of a programmer, so I'd probably have to have someone else do
this for me.

Many of the vulnerability testing apps I run are text based anyway, so if I
could get a text based familiar build to use until the touch screen thing is
sorted out, that would be fantastic.

Any thoughts on how hard this might be?

Thanks in advance for your ideas and consideration.
