No password to get in...

Hi,

I've managed to install the familiar linux distro, and for that I used
images bootldr-pxa-2.20.4.bin.gz and bootgpe2-0.7+unstable9.1-h3900.jffs2.

I can reach to a boot prompt from a serial line safely. After booting linux
the ipaq starts gpe and I get a login prompt from the serial line.
The problem is that, since this is my initial boot I need to provide
a root password (as there isn't any by default since the previous Build
I think), and I can't use my touchscreen (altough I did calibrated it),
I can't login using my serial line...

Should the touchscreen work? I tried to load
bootstrap-0.7+unstable9.1-h3900.jffs2 and I reached to the login
prompt, where I sucessfully used the default password for root,
though.

Regards,
Ricardo Diz
