Hello to everybody,
I am new to the topic of handhelds in general and to linux on hnadhelds in
special.
As I am using linux on all my personal computers I would of course like to use
*nix on my handheld also.
I have got an HP iPAQ h4150. Unfortunately the tutorials etc. do not all cover
this device. And on top of all that I am not able to find the right
kernel/image.
If Ihave understood it right, familiar is able to use the h4150. But when I
want to dwnload the familiar package the device h4150 is not avaliable. On
the download page of the device there is only a link t an other distribution
called anstrom or somethng similar.
I first wanted to create a recovery image of flash and boot loader. So I
brought BootBlaster on the device, but this nice program is not starting: It
just quits after some tenth of secs (just a quick flash, that's all).
On many paged it is written that I need a serial cable. I do not have such.
Must I buy me any?
Can anybody tell me what I have to do to get installed a version of linux
(preferred Opie) running on the h4150?
Thanks in advance
Christian
