Hi All,
I have been using my ipaq as my primary PDA for the past month or so,
and have been testing it in various ways. Here is the latest. For the
record I have a 4350, and am running opie and familiar 0.8.4 for the
2200 using the latest kernel (as of about a week ago) from CVS.
Bluetooth:
I've gotten a bluetooth connection to my phone, however the default CVS
config file does not include the kernel ppp modules, so I have not been
able to test DUN yet. I'll make sure to include them on my next compile.
Buttons:
I've reported previously that the power button does not work to put the
ipaq to sleep (thought it does wake it up). I have also found now that
the "mail" button does not work. Both the power button and mail button
register a button push (I know this because the first element in the
"home" window is highlighted when you push those buttons), however they
don't do what they are supposed to. The "Buttons" app does not
recognize the mail button as having been pushed.
Sound:
Works very nicely. Even switching back and forth between headphones and
speaker. I have not gotten the Microphone to work yet.
That's about it for now everything else seems to work as expected. If
anyone has anything they would like me to test let me know. I'm
currently working with Paul on keyboard detection to differentiate
between the 4350 and other models. I saw that patches were posted for
the LEDs. That looks fun. As soon as that winds up in CVS I will play
around with them as well.
Overall I'm VERY happy with perfomance and stability. Keep up the good
work guys!!
Thanks,
Daniel Steen
