Marc,
that seems to be a very old kernel from feb 04 or something like that. It's
probably even one of the first 2.6.x kernels.
I've decided to go a bit further down the timeline and used the zImage and
initrd1.gz from http://www.zangasse.de/h4000/. I had to combine his startup.txt
with the startup.txt from Shawn's page to make it work.
I also used the zanggasse config-2.6.7-hh0 file to now make my own 2.6.8.1-hh0
kernel. It's working, but it's lacking lcd screen. It just goed blank.
http://boom.kalf.org/ipaqlinux/ for pictures / bootlog files. It also contains
garbage like linuxrc files.
I'm working with the devs on irc to debug all the problems I have to get it all
working. Please join in and make this a joint effort :D
I'm now able to modify my own initrd file to tweak it properly. I'm building my
own www.openembedded.org rootfs. Seen that the kernel and initrd are working
properly (connecting via usbnet) I'll be able to boot and mount an nfs drive
(/home/ipaq_rootfs) and connect via ssh to the device.
