You should use
http://handhelds.org/~michaelo/ipaq/starterkit/initrd_jun10 (see
http://handhelds.org/~michaelo/ipaq/starterkit/ChangeLog), as this is
the latest initrd for 2.6.6.
The corresponding rootfs should be
http://handhelds.org/~michaelo/ipaq/starterkit/rootfs_jun28a_2004.tar.bz2.

We should continue this discussion on the list, because it could be
useful to someone else, and so that you get feedback from others.
