Hi Paul,

You may help by learning OpenEmbedded (http://openembedded.org/... it's
the new build system for iPAQs, Zauri and many more), generating an Opie
or GPE image with it, test this image on your device and then report
issues to the "oe" mailing list.

The image is the same for all iPAQs supporting Linux 2.6 (set "MACHINE =
ipaq-pxa-2.6" in conf/local.conf), and we are already working on this
for the h2200 iPAQ. However it's useful to have several people with
different devices, so that our images really support all new iPAQs.

You can also help by testing what has already been done by others (like
Eddi and Shawn), as described on the wiki, but trying the latest
handhelds.org kernel from CVS... Be curious, ask questions, understand
how Linux is supposed to work on your device and then see where you can
help.

As I suppose you are in Cambridge, MA, you may also get in touch with
the HP Lab guys (George, Jamey, Jim) in your town. They are very nice
and helpful, and it's definitely worth meeting them (I wish I'll have an
opportunity soon!).

Welcome onboard!

    :-)
