Loading Modules

Hi,

If I want to test out the bluetooth modules, do I have to compile my
own kernel and compile in the bluetooth module or can I just compile
the bt module and load it at a later time off the ipaq_rootfs on my
harddrive?

Can I used Shawn's precompiled kernel and load my own compiled modules
using that kernel?
