I'm not sure why he couldn't do that anyway. Just compile in h1900 support,
and it's right there. It uses lcd_module, so it shouldn't interfere with
anything.
But be aware that all new kernel development is happening in 2.6 - I'm not
sure which kernel you guys are using, but I suggest 2.6.
