I did search the wiki, and compared prices on internet of the available
cards listed on the wiki. Following your example, I already ordered a
Sandisk Connect + 128Mb Coimpact Flash card... I hope I succeed with it
using linux on the ipaq h2200 (I've seen some description of successful
use cases on the wiki:

Tried with steps described here:
http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/UsbNet , but I'm getting lost. I'm
using Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy) with linux kernel 2.6.24-19-generic on a pc. I
followed the steps in the section "Ubuntu Breezy (5.10)" of that UsbNet
page, but it produces nothing. My desktop computer connects wireless to
an Access Point with dhcp (I wonder if this matters for the usage of the
address 192.168.0.200 on /etc/network/interfaces).
Btw, in case it matters, I guess I have to use "usb0", since after I
plugged the pda to the desktop, dmesg returned a new entry related to usb0.

Sorry for so many questions in just a few days, but I'm doing my best to
be able to use free software on the pda, since I saw thaat many people
seemed to succeed taking profit of its full potential (wifi, external
keyboard, ...).
