Hi all:
I'm newbie using ipaq devices (as well as compiling from source), and I
got a second hand ipaq h2200 in order to be able to run free software
operation system and applications on it. In order to have wi-fi internet
connection, and after reading that SD-I/O cards aren't supported by the
linux kernel, I recently bought a Sparklan WCFM-100 802.11g Compact
Flash card, which said it was supported by Linux.
http://www.sparklan.com/product_details.php?prod_id=21
The card works fine under win ppc2003, and I could connect to internet,
etc. So I decided to migrate the ipaq to use Linux on it (familiar 0.8.4).
I've read this documentation:
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200UsersDoc
.... and followed instructions on this page (below) to allow booting gpe
from a partitioned SD card and haret, etc.
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/CardBoot
I can boot gpe, and work with it, but the Wifi CF card leds are off, and
I don't know how to make it work.
I attempted to assign a driver to it through "PC/CF Cards > Assign
driver", since it says "no driver loaded", but I don't know which one to
choose from the list. GPE says:
/Your current card identifies itself as:
Marvell 802.11CF
Manuf. Id: 0x02df, 0x8103
Class: network (6)
/
I wonder if I have to try all the drivers in the list provided with gpe
(familiar 0.8.4). I tried some, but they didn't work.
On another hand, I saw this page reporting that they have a driver that
should work with this device:
http://www.linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/libertas
But I'm not very skilled on compiling source code, etc.
Any tip from any more experienced user would be welcome
Cheers
Xavi
