   Well, that's the problem -- I don't really know anybody nearby that
has windoze, or that I know well enough to ask. Just a lot of mac and
linux users. And the library doesn't let you download anything or put in
a CD or floppy.
   Maybe I'll try it with wine. But it doesn't make a lot of sense that
you can remove wince and the wince bootloader and install LAB and
familiar on the ipaq and not the reverse -- all done from a linux serial
console.

   Why would you need windoze for the d2s commands? I did the back up
from minicom.

    Yes, of course -- that's what I was trying to restore, and for some
reason it it too big. Apparantly the instructions on the install web
page are erroneous, if it gives you a backup image that is too big to
restore.
