Yes, definitely look into what would need to change. Hopefully we could
just add a couple of ifdef's. The closer we can stay to the fs that's in
the official kernel, the better. Also, you might also check with the
FreeBSD guys, because I think they just took out some of these kinds of
sanity checks.
