Posted in Feb. Now November and no posted replies? I have the exact same
problem. Seems to be using the keypad as the arrow buttons on a number pad
(8=up,2=down,etc.).
My son immediately figured this out and suggested it is a "NUM LOCK" problem.

A pity since most everything else works, even the SOCKET CF Low Power Ethernet
card worked immediately.

My IPAQ is "product #FA103A" (funny how nobody ever mentions that the number
"2210" does not show up anywhere on the unit, only "2200 series"....)

I am running Familiar 0.8.4 with OPIE booting with HaRET.
HaRET, startup.txt, and zImage in the IPAQ fliestore,
root file system on 64M SD card single partition ext2.

One other bug is just looking at the "benchmark" utility locks everything up
solid and a reset results in a dark screen and both LEDs on. Have to remove
battery for 15 minutes and do a hard reset and start all over with CE. (Maybe
looking at SD card is snarling up the root file system?)

I would like to hope that this is all a result of the card boot configuration
and would go away if I installed to flash and used LAB, but without
confirmation don't want to risk it.......
