Hi Michal,
Thanks for your generous offer :)
From the posts to the hh.org lists, I would think that the majority
of (real) problems have come from the larger cards, eg. 2GB-4GB in
both SD and CF, but I'd prefer to test large CF at this stage as I
have recently acquired a 1GB SD and generally find the SD cards easier
to obtain.
If I had a "big" budget, I'd like to try a 2/4 GB CF and a 2/4GB SD.
Of some interest are the microSD cards with transflash adapters, but
I'm not convinced that they are of significant difference.
Also of interest are old cards which have developed "problems". RR
needs to be able to handle these as well, and trying to emulate
errors (short of using a gas-torch;) and then counter them is not
just difficult, but bordering on futile! :)
I am particularly interested to find out if the problems reported to
this list are kernel related (block size?) or userland (parted / RR)).
So cards that are known to have problems are a bonus.
FYI: I am in Tasmania, Australia.
Regards,
Marcus.
