Thanks for the feedback.
It would be nice to know what the issue is ... possibly card size,
or even cache/buffer/block size? I've only been able to test on
cards up to 512MB so far. Large (and insanely cheap) CF cards have
proven to be elusive, while sellers on eBay of SD cards >=2GB seem
to have a common problem with their inability to supply me with
items (at the low price I win them at).
Note to list: donations of problem cards welcome!
I'll attempt to fix this all up in the next release (modern kernel).
