Hello,
I'm trying to install Familiar on my H2200, but I can't get it to
work. I'm loading the kernel with HaRET, and after the "bloodshot
eyes", it gets stuck in the black screen for ever, and doesn't
display any text.
I get the same result using different procedures:
- using the instructions on http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/
HpIpaqH2200CardBoot on a 1GB CF card
- same instructions but with a single partition on the CF card, and
HaRET and zImage on the iPaq file store
- installed with ramdisk rescue on the CF card, with dual partitions
- installed with ramdisk rescue on a 1GB SD card, with dual partitions
I can boot from ramdisk rescue correctly and everything works, and
the files install correctly on the cards (I can see the ext2
partition on the cards with a USB reader). I have tried both GPE and
Opie, with the 0.8.4 and 0.8.4-r3 distributions, all with the same
result.
If I substitute the zImage with the one from Ramdisk Rescue, I do get
the scrolling log, but then it complains about not being able to
mount the root filesystem, so I think the problem must be in the
kernel that comes with familiar.
I'm using Ramdisk Rescue 0.6.4, and the version of HaRET that comes
with it.
The iPaq has Windows 4.20.1081 (build 13100) in spanish.
Any help will be appreciated,
